This code contained the product’s serial number, batch number, and expiration date. When scanned at distribution centers, it allowed for real-time verification of authenticity and helped to prevent diversion. The holographic element included covert features, such as microtext and UV-fluorescent elements, which provided an additional layer of security for regulatory inspectors.
